Renita first connected with Melanie Ginn, CEO of Ginn Group Collaborative (GGC) and Architect of the SMART® Student Health and Wellness Model, in 2013 while employed at a relationship and marriage education organization. As its Data Manager, Renita worked closely with GGC to determine Expected Value-Return on Investment (EV-ROI), an innovative ROI methodology for sustainability purposes. In addition, as the organization’s High School Manager, she, with her husband Roosevelt, customized and facilitated the healthy relationship program Go for the Gold for the specific needs of SMART® Clinic students.
Now, as GGC Chief of Staff, Renita oversees the day-to-day affairs and personnel needs of the company, managing resources to ensure team members have the infrastructure and leadership support needed to achieve the innovative visions of the firm, advance opportunities, and address challenges. She acts as counsel to Melanie and, on occasion, represents her in meetings and communications. Renita supports all GGC staff in cultivating the spirit of innovation, flexibility, and grit that has supported its success to date while maintaining fidelity to the firm’s vision, approach, and values.
As a life coach, mentor, and educator for 20+ years, Renita has served thousands of couples, women, teens, and children with practical skills-based relationship education. She and her husband are Board Certified Advanced Christian Life Coaches and founders of Enduring Love Ministries, LLC, where they conduct couple-to-couple coaching and co-facilitate masterclasses, seminars, and retreats within their local faith community, outreach organizations, and schools.
In 2014, Renita developed a Summer Reading Program as an outreach for hundreds of children in three different low-income housing communities in Dayton, Ohio. During 2018 and 2019, she facilitated a personal development enrichment course for middle school minority males for the Verizon Innovative Learning Program, a STEM-focused curriculum based at Central State University. In addition, in 2018 Renita successfully managed the campaign of candidate Charlotte McGuire, who was elected Vice President of the Ohio State School Board.
Renita is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. She met Roosevelt at Purdue, and they have been married for 32 wonderful years, during which they have been blessed to raise three sons, one of whom serves on the GGC National Team as a subject matter expert on social behavior. They now reside in Cumming, Georgia.
When reflecting on her call and purpose, Renita states, “I have spent most of my life serving the needs of families and children who are under-served, under-privileged, and, many times, almost forgotten. It is my honor to join the innovative and trailblazing GGC Team as we transform the lives of children, families, schools, and communities through the SMART® Model. I believe that the SMART Clinics make a mark in the lives of students that can’t be erased.”
